The Gurmukh contemplates the essence of spiritual wisdom; his light merges into the Light. ||3||

In plain words

If there were anyone else, I would speak to them. Everyone and everything merges into You.

The one who faces the Guru thinks on the heart of wisdom, and that person's light merges into the great Light.

There is no second power; your small light merges into the great Light.
The deeper layer

There is no second power to turn to; everything rests in the One, and your small light belongs to the great Light.

Tis no kihu kahee-ai jay doojaa hovai: if there were a second, you could go and talk to them. There is none; sabh tudhai maahi samaa-ay, all merges in You. Gurmukh gi-aan tat beechaaraa: the gurmukh, the one who faces the Guru, reflects on the core of wisdom. Jotee jot milaa-ay: the small light joins the great Light, like a candle flame held up to the sun. This is Ik Onkar: there is only One.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt like a small part of something much bigger than yourself?
