The True Guru has revealed to me the Lord's Home and His Court, and the Mansion of His Presence. I joyfully enjoy His Love.

Whatever He says, I accept as good; Nanak chants the Naam. ||4||6||16||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The True Guru has shown me the One's home, the One's court and the palace where the One lives. With love, I enjoy the delight of being near.

Whatever the One says, I accept as good. And Nanak keeps singing the Naam.

Meet whatever comes as good, keeping the Name close.
The deeper layer

The True Guru shows you the One's home, and there, whatever comes is accepted as good.

Ghar dar mahal: home, court, palace, three words for the place where the One is near, shown by the True Guru. Rang si-o ralee-aa maanai: there you enjoy the One's love with delight. Jo kichh kahai so bhalaa kar maanai: whatever the One says, you take as good. Naanak naam vakhaanai: and Nanak keeps singing the Naam. Acceptance and delight arrive together.

A Question to Sit With

What would change if you tried to meet the next hard thing as somehow good?
