In plain words

O One, Har Har, Your Names are deep beyond reach, and Your devotees keep them close inside.

Nanak says: Your servant has received the wisdom of the Guru's teaching, and remembering the One, Har Har, crosses over to the other side.

The One's names are deep and endless; remembering them, you cross gently over.
The deeper layer

The One's Names are deeper than you can reach, and the Guru's wisdom carries you to the other side.

The One's names are agam, deeper than we can reach. The One's lovers keep them safe inside, the way you keep a note from someone you love in a special box.

Nanak, the Guru's name in these verses, says he got the gurmat, the Guru's wisdom. By remembering the One, he crossed over, paar pavnay. Think of a long swim across a lake with a good coach rowing beside you. You keep going, stroke by stroke, and you reach the far shore.
