I dwell in peace in my home, and I am at peace outside.

Says Nanak, the Guru has implanted His Mantra within me. ||3||2||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
At home I live in peace, and outside I find peace too.
Nanak says: the Guru has planted the mantra firmly within me.
One steady word planted deep inside you holds, at home and out in the world.
Peace stays with you at home and outside when the Guru's word is planted firmly within.
Ghar sukh vasi-aa, baahar sukh paa-i-aa: at peace at home, at peace outside. Gur mantar dririh-aa-i-aa: the Guru has planted the mantra deep, the way a gardener presses a seed firmly into the soil. One rooted word steadies the whole life.
