In this dark age, Kali Yuga, the one Naam alone carries you across.
Nanak says: this is the wisdom of the One.
In a noisy age, one Naam kept close is enough.
In a noisy, confused age, the one Naam is enough to carry you across.
Kalijug meh ik naam udhaar: in the age of Kali Yuga, the one Naam saves. Kali Yuga is the dark age, a noisy, mixed-up time. Barahm beechaar, the wisdom of the One, is plain and enough.
