In plain words

I bow to the One tens of thousands of times. I offer this mind to the One with all my heart.

Remembering the One, my troubles are wiped away. Joy wells up, and no sickness takes hold of me.

Giving your whole heart to something good lifts you.
The deeper layer

Bow low and give your whole mind to the One, and trouble is wiped away and joy wells up.

Namaskaar taa ka-o lakh baar: I bow to the One again and again. Lakh means a hundred thousand, a way of saying "more times than I can count." Ih man deejai taa ka-o vaar: I give this mind as an offering, my whole attention.

Simran means loving remembrance. Simran taa kai miteh santaap: remembering the One, santaap, the inner burning of worry, is wiped away. Ho-ay anand na vi-aapeh taap: joy wells up, and no fever takes hold.

Think of setting down a heavy backpack after a long walk home. You feel lighter all at once.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you would gladly give your whole heart to?
