Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
I would give my all for the Divine Guru.
Just to see the Guru bears good fruit, and serving the Guru is pure and clean.
Nanak says: be kind to me, O my Master, my One, so that I may sing Your praises always.
A grateful heart's simplest prayer is: let me keep being grateful.
Love for the Guru asks for one thing: to keep singing the One's praises.
Balihaar jaa-o gurdayv: I would give my all for the Divine Guru. Safal darsan: the sight of the Guru bears fruit. Nirmal sayv: service that is pure and clean.
The last prayer returns to the pause line: be kind, and let me sing Your praises always. It is gratitude that only asks to keep being grateful.
