Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Everyone is asking with open hands, like a beggar, and the One is the great Giver.
The One is a treasure of goodness, endless and without limit.
The one the One blesses with kindness, that humble person chants the Naam of the One, Har, Har.
We all come with open hands, and that is okay.
Everyone comes to the One with open hands, and the One gives without end.
Sabh jaachik: all are beggars. Everyone asks, and no one has it all on their own, so there is no shame in asking. Dayvanhaar: the Giver. Gun nidhaan: treasure of goodness. Karam here means the One's kindness. The person it touches chants the Naam.
