Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I offer my prayer before my Guru.

O Primal Lord, treasure of goodness, please be kind to me.

Nanak says: I have come to Your shelter. Keep me however it pleases You, Lord of the World.

Trusting the flow can be a kind of peace.
The deeper layer

You can bring your prayer to the One and trust yourself to the One's shelter.

Ardaas: a prayer. Gun-taas: treasure of goodness. Sarnaa-ee: shelter, sanctuary. Ji-o bhaavai ti-o rakhahu gusaa-ee: keep me however You wish, Lord of the World. It is trust in the flow of existence, given freely, with open hands.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you can control, and what is something you can only trust?
