ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
karan karaavanhaar su-aamee.
Our Lord and Master is the Creator, the Cause of causes.
ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
sagal ghataa kay antarjaamee.
He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇ ॥
kar kirpaa apnee sayvaa laa-ay.
Bless me with Your Grace, Lord, and link me to Your service.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੪੪॥

Nanak says: I am Your servant, and I have come to Your shelter.
To be fully known and still welcomed is a deep kind of safety.
The One who made everything knows every heart, and you can ask to serve and to stay in the One's shelter.
Karan karaavanhaar: the One who does and causes all. Antarjaamee: the inner-knower. Sayvaa: service. Sarnaa-ay: shelter, sanctuary. Grace, service and shelter come together in one prayer.
