In plain words

My Guru is all-powerful, the Maker, the cause behind every cause.

The Guru is my soul and my breath, the Giver of peace, always near. The Guru breaks fear apart, the King who never ends. One look at the Guru, and all the hurt goes away.

The Maker of every cause is also the breath closest to you.
The deeper layer

The all-powerful Maker of everything is also the breath closest to you, and one look takes the hurt away.

Karan kaaran samrath: all-powerful, the cause behind every cause. Right beside it comes jee-a praan sukh-daata nayraa: the soul, the breath, the Giver of peace, near. The vast Maker and the nearest breath are one and the same. Bhai bhanjan is the One who breaks fear apart. Darsan daykhi-ai sabh dukh jaa-ay: at one glimpse, all pain goes.

Think of a scraped knee when you were little. A parent's face came close, and somehow it hurt less.

A Question to Sit With

When has something huge also felt very close and gentle to you?
