The Name of the Lord abides in their hearts. ||2||

In plain words

Meeting the Divine Guru, all my tasks are done, whole and complete.

The Guru gives every good fruit, and serving the Guru makes me clean. The Guru takes hold of the hands of the Guru's own servants, and gives the Naam of the One a home in their hearts.

With your hand held, the hard things get done.
The deeper layer

Meet the Guru, and your work comes out whole, your hand is held, and the Naam makes its home in your heart.

Pooran kaam milay gurdayv: meeting the Divine Guru, every task is complete. Sabh fal-daata: the Giver of every fruit. Nirmal sayv: service that makes you clean. Kar geh leenay: taking someone by the hand. Raam naam rid dee-o nivaas: the Naam is given a home in the heart.

Think of crossing a busy street as a small child. A grown-up takes your hand, and the crossing that felt huge is suddenly done.

A Question to Sit With

What is something that got easier once someone took your hand?
