Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

They live in joy always, with no sadness at all.

No pain, no ache, no sickness takes hold of them. Everything is Yours; You are the Maker of it all. The Guru is the Supreme One, beyond reach, without end.

A steady joy can stay even on a hard day.
The deeper layer

Joy that stays comes from knowing that everything belongs to the One.

Sadaa anand naahee kichh sog: always joy, no sorrow. Dookh darad nah bi-aapai rog: pain, ache and sickness do not take hold. Sabh kichh tayraa too karnaihaar: everything is Yours, and You are the Maker. Paarbarahm gur agam apaar: the Guru is the Supreme One, beyond reach and without end.

Think of a deep lake on a windy day. Waves ripple on top, and far down the water stays still.

A Question to Sit With

What is a happiness in your life that stays even on hard days?
