The Perfect, Supreme One is dear to my mind, filling the water, the land and the sky. Nanak says: everything comes from the One.

Nirmal sobhaa achraj banee: spotless glory and a Word full of wonder. Paarbarahm pooran man bhaanee: the Perfect, Supreme One pleases the mind. Jal thal mahee-al ravi-aa so-ay: the One fills the water, the land and the sky. Naanak sabh kichh prabh tay ho-ay: Nanak signs the verse: everything comes from the One.
Think of a river. Every drop in it, from the mountain to the sea, came from one spring.
