In plain words

Our Master never fades and never ends, beyond what our minds can grasp. The One who knows every heart from the inside fills every heart.

Wherever I look, I see Your home.

Nanak says: the Guru has switched on the light for me.

The One that fills a million universes also lives, closer than close, inside your own heart.
The deeper layer

At the end, all this vastness turns into nearness.

The One is agochar, beyond what our senses can grasp. Yet the One fills every heart as the antarjaamee, the One who knows us from the inside. jat kat daykh-a-u tayraa vaasaa — wherever I look, I see Your home.

All the millions from the earlier verses now fit in one heart. It is like looking at a huge night sky, then seeing the same stars in a small pond. And gur kee-o pargaasaa: the Guru switched on the light, so Nanak could see it.

A Question to Sit With

How can something be both bigger than everything and closer to you than anything?
