Without Effort, The Storehouse Fills

ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਭੋਜਨ ਭਾਉ ॥
achint hamaarai bhojan bhaa-o.
Spontaneously, I feed on the Love of God.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਲੀਚੈ ਨਾਉ ॥
achint hamaarai leechai naa-o.
Spontaneously, I take God's Name.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਉਧਾਰ ॥
achint hamaarai sabad uDhaar.
Spontaneously, I am saved by the Word of the Shabad.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥੨॥
achint hamaarai bharay bhandaar. ||2||
Spontaneously, my treasures are filled to overflowing. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

All on its own, the One's love has become my food.

All on its own, I speak the One's Naam.

All on its own, the Word lifts me to safety.

All on its own, my storehouses are filled to overflowing.

When your heart is turned the right way, good things arrive on their own.
The deeper layer

Good things arrive all on their own when the heart is open.

From here to the end, each line begins with "achint hamaarai" — "effortlessly, for me." Each line names one more gift that comes without anxious striving. Bhojan bhaa-o means love becomes my food. The Naam rises to the lips on its own. Sabad udhaar means the Word lifts me across. Bharay bhandaar means the storehouse is filled to the top.

Think of a garden after spring rain. You did not pour each drop, yet everything is green. Grace is plenty, quietly received.

A Question to Sit With

What feels nourishing to you in the way food feeds the body?
