A Steady Support In My Hand

achint hamaarai man patee-aanaa.
Spontaneously, my mind has been pleased and appeased.
nihchal Dhanee achint pachhaanaa.
I have spontaneously realized the Eternal, Unchanging Lord.
achinto upji-o sagal bibaykaa.
Spontaneously, all wisdom and knowledge has welled up within me.
achint charee hath har har taykaa. ||7||
Spontaneously, the Support of the Lord, Har, Har, has come into my hands. ||7||

In plain words

All on its own, my mind is content and at ease.

All on its own, I have come to know the Master who never changes.

All on its own, clear seeing has welled up in me.

All on its own, the support of the One, Har, Har, has come into my hand.

A settled mind rests on something steady that will not give way.
The deeper layer

A settled mind finds something steady to hold.

"achint hamaarai man patee-aanaa" — all on its own, my mind is content. I come to know nihchal Dhanee, the Master who never changes. Bibaykaa means clear seeing, the sense to tell what matters. It wells up inside.

"achint charee hath har har taykaa" — the One's support comes into my hand. Taykaa means support. Think of a handrail on a steep staircase. You can hold it, and it will not give way.

A Question to Sit With

What is something steady in your life that you can always lean on?
