In plain words

By great good fortune I found the perfect Guru.

He showed me the treasure of the Name hidden deep inside, and the Word turned out to be so sweet. Nanak says: my long thirst is finally quenched, and my mind and body have found real peace.

When the Word turns sweet, the endless thirst finally stills into peace.
The deeper layer

Trisan bujhee — the thirst quenched — is the shabad's resolution: the endless wanting that drives the world stills at last. The sweetness of the sabad (at meethaa) is the taste that ends the craving for lesser flavors.

A Question to Sit With

What is a feeling of being 'full' and content that no amount of stuff ever gives you?
