Nanak, a beggar, asks for the Blessed Vision of God's Darshan; please, bless him with the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||2||16||102||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The gentle One is everything to those who love — their true wealth and treasure.

Nanak says: I come with empty hands, asking only for the sight of You, and for the dust of the saints' feet.

The richest thing to ask for is to be near the One.
The deeper layer

daamodar da-i-aal — the merciful One (a name of Krishna, used with respect) as the true wealth of the devoted. jaachik daras maagai — the seeker asks for darshan, the sight; sant janaa kee milai ravaal — for the dust of the saints' feet, a humble asking made with open, empty hands.

A Question to Sit With

What matters more to you than any thing you could own?
