Sikhism·Raag Bilaaval·Shabad 126
Verse 3 of 5

Which Wonder Should I Hold?

ਕਿਆ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ॥
ki-aa gun tayray saar samHaaree.
Which of Your Glorious Virtues should I contemplate and remember?
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
saas saas parabh tujheh chitaaree. ||2||
With each and every breath, O God, I remember You. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

There are so many good things about You — which one could I even begin to hold in mind?

So with each breath, I simply keep You in my thoughts.

When something is too wonderful to describe, you can simply keep it close.
The deeper layer

ki-aa gun tayray saar samHaaree — the wonder of the One's qualities being past counting, so remembrance stands in for cataloguing. saas saas prabh tujheh chitaaree — kept in mind with every breath.

A Question to Sit With

What is something so good you cannot describe it, only keep it with you?
