In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

O One who enchants my heart, I cannot sleep; I keep sighing. I have dressed in fine clothes and jewels and everything lovely.

Still I feel sad, so sad, waiting -- when will You come home?

No amount of nice things can fill the space where love belongs.
The deeper layer

The Rahau, opening Ghar 13 Partaal (a form whose tune and rhythm shift as it goes). mohan -- the enchanter, the One who charms the heart. The soul is pictured as a bride waiting for her love; all the outward finery cannot fill the ache of absence. udeenee -- sad, longing.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever had everything you thought you wanted and still felt something missing?
