In plain words

Such is wisdom: the treasure of the Naam.

Those who turn to the Guru receive it, and they taste it and savor it, again and again.

Some treasures are not for counting -- they are for savoring.
The deeper layer

The Naam is a treasure of wisdom you can taste.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line. It is the center of the shabad.

Aisaa gi-aan padaarath naam — such is wisdom, the treasure of the Name. Gi-aan means wisdom. Padaarath means a treasure.

Gurmukh paavas ras ras maan — those turned to the Guru receive it and enjoy its sweet taste. Ras means taste or juice, the sweetness of something.

This wisdom is not just stored in your head, like facts for a test. It is tasted. Think of reading about mangoes versus eating a ripe one. Both are a kind of knowing. Only one is sweet.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you enjoy more slowly the more you understand it?
