jaacha-o sant ravaal. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I yearn for the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

You are kind to the humble, my Master. You are kind to the humble.

All I ask for is the dust of the saints' feet.

*The gentle and humble have a kind friend in the One.*
The deeper layer

The rahau. deenaa naath da-i-aal -- the merciful protector of the meek, repeated warmly. jaacha-o sant ravaal -- the whole request is the dust of the saints' feet, a place near them. The hinge line of the hymn: refuge belongs to the gentle.

A Question to Sit With

Who is kindest to the people others overlook?
