Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The same One made everything and fit it all together -- cracked open the very beginning of things and set them spinning apart and together.
It made the earth and the sky as places to live, and it made day and night, and even the difference between fear and love.
And the One who made all of this did not walk away. It stays, watching over what it made. There is no other maker behind it.
One of the reflective verses between the days. andaj phorh -- the cracking of the "cosmic egg," an old image for the beginning of creation. raat dinant... bha-o bhaa-o -- day and night, fear and love, all woven into the world by one hand.
