In plain words

O Lord of the world, Master of all, this Maya has made me forget Your feet.

Not even a little love wells up in me, Your servant. What can Your poor servant do?

Naming a dry, tangled spell honestly is the start of getting free of it.
The deeper layer

maa-i-aa — the world's dazzling illusion. kichant preet na upjai — "not even a little love wells up," the honest admission of a dry spell. jan kahaa karahi baychaaray — the helplessness that becomes a prayer. Naming the tangle is the beginning of loosening it.

A Question to Sit With

What kinds of "shiny stuff" pull your attention away from what matters most?
