In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

People used to laugh when they saw how little I had. That was my life for a long time, and it stung.

But grace had other plans. What the world could not give me, the One placed right in my hands — and I know none of it was my own doing.

What the world withholds, grace can place right in your hands.
The deeper layer

Ravidas the cobbler-saint names his poverty openly. daarid daykh sabh ko hasai — everyone mocked his daarid (destitution). asat dasaa sidh kar talai — the eighteen powers now in his palm, a reversal by grace. sabh kirpaa tumaaree — all of it grace, not merit. The low-caste saint turns his condition into a spiritual credential.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever been underestimated, and what did you learn from it?
