Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The faces of the Guru's humble people shine bright.
In kindness, the One has given them the Naam.
A settled heart shows on the face — and that quiet glow is a gift, not a performance.
An inner radiance: sant janaa kaa mukh oojal keenaa — the faces of the humble holy are made bright. The brightness is not cosmetic but the outward sign of a settled heart. And it is grace: kar kirpaa apunaa naam deenaa — the One mercifully gave them the Name. The light is a gift carried, not a performance staged.
A Question to Sit With
Have you ever met someone who seemed lit up from the inside? What do you think gave them that?
