In plain words

It is easy to get all wound up — in pride, in little quarrels, in wanting more, in chasing every tasty treat.

Before you know it, you are caught in a web of tricks and worries and things that do not nourish you. It happens to everyone; the trick is to notice.

It is easy to get tangled in things that do not feed you.
The deeper layer

Everyone gets tangled sometimes.

Ahan-budh parbaad... lobh rasnaa saad — pride, quarrels, greed and the taste for treats; mithi-aa bikhi-aad — all of it empty in the end. It is a tangle every human knows, and naming it is the first step out.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you chase that never quite fills you up?
