By the grace of the Perfect Guru, I have seen this with my own eyes.
Power, land, money and youth are empty without the Naam.
Good things need the Naam at their center, or they feel empty.
The Naam is what gives every good thing its meaning.
This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Aisee paykhee naytar meh pooray gur parsaad — I have seen this with my own eyes, by the grace of the Perfect Guru. Raaj milakh dhan jobnaa naamai bin baad — power, land, money and youth are empty without the Name. These good things stay good; the Naam is what fills them.
