In old markets, a saraaf was a gold tester. He rubbed gold on a dark stone called a kasvatee, a touchstone, to see if it was real. The verse says the One is all of it: aap saraaf kasvatee laa-ay, the One is the tester holding the touchstone. The One checks the coin, stamps it as good, and weighs it.
Think of a school test where the teacher, the question paper and the red pen are all the same person. There is no gap between the one who judges and the one being judged. There is just one reality. Aapay jaanai ayko so-ay: only the One knows, for there is only the One.
