The One Who Knows Every Heart

ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਇਆ ॥
antarjaamee aap parabh sabh karay karaa-i-aa.
God Himself is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts; He does, and causes everything to be done.
ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਘਣੇ ਕਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਬਿਰਦਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
patit puneet ghanay karay thaakur birdaa-i-aa. ||3||
He purifies so many sinners; this is the natural way of our Lord and Master. ||3||

In plain words

The One knows what is inside every heart — nothing is hidden — and gently moves the whole show.

And here is the kind part: the One lifts up and makes new so many who thought they had gone too far. That is just the One's nature.

No one is ever too far gone to be made new.
The deeper layer

The One knows every heart, and it is the One's nature to lift people up.

Antarjaamee aap prabh means the Lord is antarjaamee, the One who knows what is inside every heart. Sabh karay karaa-i-aa means the One does everything and makes everything happen.

Patit puneet ghanay karay means the One makes pure so many who had fallen. Thaakur birdaa-i-aa means this is the Master's own nature. Birad means a way of being that never changes, like a promise always kept.

This is good news, not a label of shame. Think of a coach who never gives up on a player, even after a bad season. No one is too far gone to start fresh. Making people new again is simply who the One is.

A Question to Sit With

Does it feel good to know someone can always start fresh?
