Love for the Wondrous Guru

charan kamal si-o rang lagaa achraj gurdayv.
I have enshrined love for the Lotus Feet of the Wondrous Divine Guru.
jaa ka-o kirpaa karahu parabh taa ka-o laavhu sayv. ||3||
One who is blessed by Your Mercy, God, is committed to Your service. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My heart has fallen in love with the lotus feet of the wondrous Guru.

Whoever the One blesses with mercy is drawn into loving service.

Love naturally spills over into wanting to help.
The deeper layer

Charan kamal si-o rang lagaa, achraj gurdayv — love for the Guru; jaa ka-o kirpaa karahu prabh, taa ka-o laavhu sayv — grace flows into service. Grace received, then given away as help.

A Question to Sit With

When you love something, how does it change what you want to do?
