Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
banDhan kaatai so parabhoo jaa kai kal haath.
God breaks the bonds which hold us; He holds all power in His hands.
avar karam nahee chhootee-ai raakho har naath. ||1||
No other actions will bring release; save me, O my Lord and Master. ||1||

In plain words

The One who breaks the ropes that bind us holds all power in hand.

No other trick or effort sets us free — so I ask simply: hold me, keep me.

Some knots come loose not by struggling harder, but by asking for a hand.
The deeper layer

Bandhan kaatai so prabhoo, jaa kai kal haath — the One holds all power; avar karam nahee chhootee-ai, raakho har naath — release comes by grace, not by technique. Grace over ritual and self-effort.

A Question to Sit With

When has struggling harder not helped, but asking for help did?
