paarbarahm aaraaDh-tay mukh amrit peevaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Worshipping the Supreme Lord God in adoration, my mouth drinks in the Ambrosial Nectar. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Holding the Guru's lotus feet in mind and repeating the One's Name, I live.

Worshipping the deep One, my mouth drinks sweet nectar.

Turning toward what you love can make you feel wide awake and alive.
The deeper layer

Charan kamal gur kay japat, har jap ha-o jeevaa — life through remembrance; paarbarahm aaraadh-tay, mukh amrit peevaa — the sweet taste of turning toward the One. Remembrance is the source of aliveness.

A Question to Sit With

What makes you feel most awake and alive?
