It is fruitful for all to practice contemplation of the Lord. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Every kind of living thing — born from eggs, from wombs, from warmth and damp, from the earth — all of it is the One's own handiwork.

And for every one of them, turning toward the One bears good fruit.

Every living thing, big or small, comes from the same Maker.
The deeper layer

Every living thing is the One's own work.

People long ago spoke of four ways life begins. Andaj means born from eggs, like birds. Jayraj means born from a womb, like us. Saytaj means born from warmth and damp, like tiny bugs. Ut-bhujaa means sprouting from the earth, like plants. Parabh kee ih kirat: all of these are the One's handiwork.

So every creature is family under one Maker. Think of a big family photo with birds, bugs and trees in it too. The second line says ravee-ai har nirat: turning to the One bears fruit for all.

A Question to Sit With

What tiny living thing amazes you when you look closely at it?
