In plain words

Worship the Lord — Har, Har, Har — and you become well.

The Lord's healing wand drives every sickness away.

Keeping the One in mind can settle you like good medicine.
The deeper layer

The Name heals.

This short shabad has two verses, so it is called a Du-Pada. These opening lines are its rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the one the shabad turns on. Har har har aaraaDhee-ai — remember the One again and again. Ho-ee-ai aarog — and you become well. Aarog means healthy, free of sickness.

Raamchand kee lastikaa jin maari-aa rog — this is the Lord's healing stick that drives sickness away. Raamchand is a name for the One here. In Gurbani, rog often means the sicknesses of the mind: worry, greed, anger and fear. Think of how a hug from a parent calms you when you are upset. Remembering the One works on the heart like that.

A Question to Sit With

What settles you so well it feels a little like healing?
