O Nanak, God is totally pleased with me; I have obtained the fruits of my desires. ||2||6||70||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Telling of the One, singing, the sound and the melody of it — this has quietly become the point of my whole life.

Nanak says: God is fully pleased, and the thing my heart most wanted has arrived.

When your life points at what matters, what you longed for arrives.
The deeper layer

Singing of the One has become the whole point of life.

Kathaa keertan raag naad Dhun — telling the One's stories, singing, the melody and the sound. Keertan is singing the One's praises. Naad is the inner music. Ih bani-o su-aa-o — this has become my life's purpose.

Think of someone who finds the sport or the instrument they truly love. Suddenly they know what their free time is for. Here, singing of the One has become that for the singer.

Naanak parabh suparsan bha-ay — Nanak says, God is fully pleased. The fruit the heart longed for has arrived.

A Question to Sit With
