The Lord God is my praanaa, my breath of life; He is the Giver of peace.

Your Saints are Your Beloveds; death does not consume them.

They are dyed in the deep crimson color of Your Love, and they are intoxicated with the sublime essence of the Lord's Name. ||1||

In plain words

Your loved ones are your saints; death cannot swallow them.

They are dyed the deep crimson of your love, drunk on the taste of your Name.

The people who have already let go of their grasping, prideful selves have nothing left for death to take — and they're the most joyful, love-soaked people of all.
The deeper layer

"Death cannot consume them" — this is jeevat marnaa, dying while alive. The saints have already let the separate, grasping self dissolve, so ordinary death has nothing left to take. What remains after that inner death cannot be threatened by the biological one. And they are "dyed crimson" (the permanent Rang again) and "intoxicated" with the Name — the language of someone whose whole being has been colored and gladdened through and through. This is not grim self-denial; it is joy. The ones death can't touch are precisely the ones most drunk on life's deepest sweetness.

A Question to Sit With

What does it mean that letting go of your ego could make you both freer and happier?
