In plain words

My King, when I see You, I am at peace.

You alone know the ache inside me. What could anyone else know of it?

You are the true One, and everything You do is true; there is no one else at all, so there is no one I could ever call false.

There is One who knows the ache no one else can see.
The deeper layer

Here is the Rahao, recited every evening in Rehras: mayray saahaa mai har darsan sukh ho-ay — my King, in Your sight I find peace — and hamree baydan too jaantaa — You alone know my inner pain. The One sees the hurt no one else can see. And doojaa naahee ko-ay — there is no other at all, so there is no one to blame or call false.

A Question to Sit With

Is there a feeling inside you that is hard to explain to anyone? What would it be like to feel fully understood?
