As it pleases You, protect and preserve me, O my Beloved; You are the True King of Nanak. ||4||7||13||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
You are the hope of everyone, my Beloved; all turn to You.
Keep me however You please, my Beloved — You are the true King.
To trust the One with how things unfold is a deep kind of rest.
The close (||4||7||13||): sabhnaa kee too aas hai — You are the hope of all. The final surrender is trustful and easy: ji-o bhaavai ti-o rakh — keep me as You please — the poise of sahaj, resting in the flow (hukam) rather than fighting it. Sach naanak kay paatisaah, the true King.
A Question to Sit With
What would it feel like to fully trust that things will be held, however they turn out?
