In plain words

Out of kindness You gave me Your Name and loosened everything that held me tight.

The endless busy worries slipped from my mind, and I found my place at the Teacher's feet.

When the heart is given something real to hold, the small worries loosen by themselves.
The deeper layer

Grace gave me the Name, and the Name set me free.

Kar kirpaa dee-o mohi naamaa — in kindness, You gave me the Name. The Name loosens the banDhan, the knots that hold us tight. Look at the order. The gift comes first, and the freedom follows.

Man tay bisri-o saglo DhanDhaa — the whole busy tangle slipped from my mind. DhanDhaa is the tangle of worldly jobs and worries. It was not beaten. It was simply forgotten, like a to-do list you stop thinking about while hugging someone you love. The heart rests at the Teacher's feet.

A Question to Sit With

What helps your mind let go of its busy worries and settle down?
