In plain words

The saints, kind and caring, gently let the fevers of the heart — grasping wants, hot anger, tangled greed — burn down to nothing.

My strength, my belongings, my youth, my body, my very life — I would happily give it all to them.

Being near holy people can cool the fevers of the heart.
The deeper layer

Holy people help cool the fevers of the heart, and being near them is worth everything.

Sant kirpaal da-i-aal — the Saints are kind and caring. Kaam kroDh bikh jaaray — they burn away craving, anger, and the poison of greed. These are pictured as sicknesses of the heart. Near the saints they cool down and heal, the way a fever breaks when someone looks after you. They are not sins to be punished.

Then the singer offers raaj maal joban tan jee-araa — power, wealth, youth, body, and life itself. That long list shows how precious it is to be near the saints.

A Question to Sit With

When you are angry or grabby inside, who or what helps you cool back down?
