In plain words

A deep calm has settled over me, and it came through the teaching that leads from darkness to light.

The things that were burning and troubling me have quietly faded away, my dear friends.

A deep calm can settle over a troubled, feverish mind — and it comes through the teaching that leads to light.
The deeper layer

This is the Rahao. Saant bha-ee — "peace has come" — and it is credited to gur gobid, the teacher-who-is-the-One. Taap paap binsay — "the burning and the harm have vanished." Taap means fever, heat, the feverishness of a troubled mind; here it cools. Note the tender address: mayray bhaa-ee, "my siblings, my dear ones." The whole shabad is spoken warmly to fellow seekers, sharing good news: peace is possible, and here is how it came.

A Question to Sit With

What has helped a "feverish," restless feeling in you cool down into calm?
