In plain words

This is what the One is like: a help and a support both in this world and in whatever comes after. The One guards the good name and the dignity of anyone who leans on that support — count on it, my friend.

The One who supports the devoted keeps their dignity safe, here and everywhere.
The deeper layer

This is the Rahao, the pause-line that holds the heart of the shabad. Deen dunee means "this world and the next" — the One's care is not limited to here or there. Paij rakhai is a recurring phrase in Guru Arjan: to keep someone's honor — the devotional assurance that the one who trusted is not left ashamed. Daas (servant) here is not lowly — it means the one who has handed their weight over to the One. "Mayray bhaa-ee" (my sibling) turns to the listener directly, as family.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever trusted someone and been glad you did, because they never let you down?
