The Gurmukh's tongue savors the sublime essence of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Keep the One in your hearts, all of you. The tongue turned toward the teaching tastes the One's sweetness.

The cure for the world's madness is to keep the One in your heart and taste its sweetness.
The deeper layer

The Rahao gives the remedy to the world's madness: meditate in the heart. And again the sensory test of Har Ras -- the Gurmukh's tongue savors the essence. The cure for ego-madness is interior remembrance that can actually be tasted.

A Question to Sit With

What is one small way to "keep the One in your heart" in the middle of a busy day?
