In plain words

You are my companion; You are my truest friend. You are the one I love, the one my heart is bound to in warmth.

You are my honor and my beauty — like the finest thing anyone could wear. Without You, I couldn't last even a moment.

The One can be your closest friend — the person you love most in all the world.
The deeper layer

An outpouring of intimate names: sakhaa (companion), meet (friend), pareetam (beloved), pat (honor), gahnaa (jewelry, ornament). The One is addressed not as distant sovereign but as best friend and beloved. Tujh bin nimakh na jaa-ee rahnaa — without You I can't survive an instant. This is bhakti (loving devotion) in its warmest register — the divine as the dearest person in one's life, which is deeply reassuring for a child.

A Question to Sit With

Who is someone you couldn't imagine your life without? What makes them so dear?
