The teaching planted the Word in me; I reached the highest state, my duality gone, and now I am at peace.
Nanak says: I easily crossed the frightening sea, gaining the treasure of the Name.
When the felt sense of separation dissolves, peace arrives and the once-terrifying crossing becomes easy.
The close reports arrival: "my sense of duality has been dispelled, and now, I am at peace." The ending of duality — the felt sense of separation between self and One, self and others — is what brings the peace. And the crossing, once the great terror, is now "easily" done. When separation dissolves, the hard sea turns crossable.
