- O Nanak, those humble beings center their minds lovingly on the Lord's Name. ||5||1||7||16||

In plain words

The ones whose love and devotion please the One —

Nanak says, those humble people keep their minds on the Name, with love.

After all the letting-go, what remains isn't emptiness but a gentle, loving focus on the one thing.
The deeper layer

This line quietly gathers the whole shabad into one picture: a humble heart resting on the One.

Jin kee bhagat mayray parabh bhaa-ee — those whose bhagat, loving devotion, pleases my God. Raam naam liv laa-ee — they keep their minds lovingly fixed on the Name.

Look back at the steps of this shabad (hymn). Family is a gift given to us. Our own strength is let go. Family life is held gently. Our work is returned to the One. All of it comes together here, in humble people resting their attention on the Name. That resting is the devotion that pleases.

Think of a room after a big clean-up. The clutter is gone, but the room is not empty. Now you can see the one lamp glowing in the corner. After all the letting go, what is left is a warm, loving focus. The mind comes home to the one thing, and everything else falls into place around it.

A Question to Sit With

When you let smaller worries go, what one thing would you want your attention to rest on?
