In plain words

Serve the teaching always, and sing the glories of the One.

With every breath, adore the One, and the worry weighing on your mind will lift.

Worry is a mind rehearsing feared futures — and remembrance, tied to the breath, is never more than one breath away.
The deeper layer

Worry is a mind practicing scary futures. This shabad gives a simple cure.

saas saas araaDh har har — with every breath, worship the One. leh jaa-ay man kee chind — and the worry of your mind will lift.

Worry is a kind of forgetting. The mind keeps replaying a scary movie of what might happen. Remembering the One stops the movie. It brings you back to right now, and to a One you can trust.

The advice is gentle, tied to the breath. So the cure is always close. You are never more than one breath from turning back.

A Question to Sit With

The next time worry starts rehearsing, could one conscious breath of turning back interrupt it?
