In plain words

My mind, say the Name of the One.

You'll be given peace, balance and delight, and you'll find the spotless place.

The Name doesn't just get you something — it makes you a clean inner place to live: at peace, in balance, glad.
The deeper layer

The Name makes you a clean place to live inside. This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad.

mayray man jaap parabh kaa naa-o — my mind, say God's Name. It promises three gifts: sookh sahj anand — peace, calm balance, and deep joy. These are not prizes from outside. They are ways of being.

And milee nirmal thaa-o — you will find the spotless place. That place is less a spot on a map than the clean space a remembering mind becomes. Think of your room right after you tidy it: light, and easy to breathe in. The Name doesn't just get you something. It makes you somewhere clean to live.

A Question to Sit With

What would a 'clean inner place' feel like for you — and what clutters it now?
